Limitations
What Nolagmind does not have, so you can tell quickly whether it fits.
Nolagmind is a Mac app with a fixed feature set. This page is the honest list of things it does not do — useful if you are coming from Obsidian, Notion, or a plugin-heavy setup.
Platforms
No Windows, Linux, web, or mobile app. macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon only.
Accounts, sync, and plugins
No account, no Nolagmind cloud, no built-in sync, no plugin system, no API, no publish-to-web.
Editor
No math/LaTeX, footnotes, callouts, PDF/audio/video embeds, or ![[Note]] embeds. No heading-fragment links: [[Note#Heading]] does not jump to a heading (see Linking Notes). No block IDs or block references.
Markdown task lists (-[ ]) stay in the note. They are not aggregated in Task View.
File types
Boards are .board.json, not Markdown. Other apps’ canvases, whiteboards, and databases will not open as Nolagmind boards or mind maps. See File format & storage and Bring your notes.
AI
No AI features, on purpose.
If a missing piece is a deal-breaker, the comparison pages spell out where other apps win. For problems using the app you have, see FAQ & Troubleshooting.
