Home Screen
The first thing you see, and the fastest way back to a recent note.
Greets you when you open the app, or open it anytime with home / home screen in search (Cmd+O or Cmd+K).
Layouts
Change the layout in Settings → Home Screen, or jump there with settings: home:
| Layout | What you get |
|---|---|
| Grid | Pinned and recent notes as a grid |
| List | The same notes as a list |
| Recent Cards | Card layout of recent notes (the default) |
| Last Note | Reopens whatever you were last editing |
| Daily Note | Today’s daily note, if daily notes are on |
| Graph | Graph view as the home pane |
| Calendar | The daily-notes calendar, if daily notes are on |
Daily Note and Calendar only appear as options once daily notes are enabled for that vault.
Jump by number
On Grid, List, and Recent Cards, hold Option and small numbers appear over your first nine notes — hit a number (Option+1 through Option+9) to jump straight to one, even before the app has fully finished loading.
Pinned notes sit at the top of those layouts. Pin a note from its properties (Cmd+P).
